Turf Herbicide Workshops

This one day workshop is designed for beginners and for more experienced professionals who want more information on herbicide use principles and discussion of how to control the most common weeds in turf. This workshop offers training inweed identification, integrated weed management, herbicide mode of action, and weed control principles. The workshop is typically held in two to three locations across Indiana annually. NEW topics each year with all participants receiving a copy of the regional guide: Turfgrass Weed Control for Professionals.

Herbicide Workshop - Dates and locations will be announced in summer 2018. Target dates are the last week of November or first week of December.

Over 300 attendees come to this annual workshop hosted a four locations across Indiana/Chicago. Dates and registration details are provided above. Over 75 live weed samples are presented at this workshop. Attendees learn more about identifying and controlling these common turf and landscape weeds. Dr. Patton, who publishes "Turfgrass Weed Control for Professionals" enjoys brining the weeds to your front door and presenting these workshops each December.
