The Midwest Turf Expo will be held on January 17-19, 2006 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. A GCSAA Seminar on understanding soils kicks off the Expo on Tuesday afternoon. Concurrent educational session begin on Wednesday morning and run through Thursday afternoon featuring speakers from across IN and the country including Roch Gaussoin (Univ. of Nebraska), Bruce Clark (Rutgers), David Williams (Univ. of Kentucky), Brian Horgan (Univ. of Minnesota) and Randy Kane (Chicago District Golf Assoc.). Three-hour workshops are held on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday and Thursday morning including topics covering mathematics for lawn care, sports turf, turf physiology, fertilization, and small engine maintenance. New this year is a special afternoon for owners of lawn care companies. Special one-day registrations are available at very reduced prices for lawn care technicians, sports turf specialists, and equipment technicians; a great cost-effective way to bring the whole staff! GCSAA educational credits and up to nine CCH’s in Cat 3b can be earned depending on workshops and sessions attended. If you do not receive registration information in the mail in the next week, it is also available at http://www.agry.purdue.edu/turf/events/expo/expoatt.htm
