A Few Open Seats Still Available for Turf and Ornamental Seminar in Nov.

Mark your calendars for Nov 15-16 for MRTF’s Turf and Ornamental Seminar at the Daniel Center at Purdue. This course is an advanced for lawn care, golf course, sports turf, and sales staff. Enrollment is definitely limited to 70 attendees to optimize individual attention and allow plenty of time for questions and discussion. Special guests this year are Ron Calhoun from Michigan State and Roch Gaussoin from Univ. of Nebraska. Ron and Roch are nationally renowned weed specialists and are top-notch teachers. Topics this year emphasize weed control but also include turfgrass insect and disease topics. Ornamental topics include fertilization, insect and disease control. Fred Whitford will be discussing the latest information on the stability of plastic storage and spray tanks, something we all use in our jobs. Nine CCH’s 3b, 5 CCH’s 3a, and GCSAA PDU’s have all been requested. You should have received more information in the mail and it is also available at http://www.agry.purdue.edu/turf/events/tosem06.pdf.
