Reicher on Sabbatical until October 15

You’ll probably notice a slight decrease in frequency and number of Turf Tips this summer as I will be on sabbatical until Oct 15. I will be completing a national survey on Poa trivialis contamination in seed lots. This is a weed that we have been working on for years and it continues to plague golf courses, sports fields, and lawns. I’ll also be completing our first Field Guide entitled “Lawn Management for Professionals”. For more turfgrass help, please use the “Search” feature in the top right corner of most of our web pages to search the past five years of Turf Tips as well as many other sources. For do-it-yourselfers with lawn care questions, please contact you local county Extension educator for the most immediate help. For turf professionals, please contact Jennifer Biehl at biehlj@purdue.edu and she can direct your questions to our other staff members.
